First 5 LA is a key funder for the ten Little by Little Program locations in Los Angeles County.
An independent public agency with a goal to support the safe and healthy development of young children, First 5 LA was created by voters in 1998 to invest in LA County’s allocation of funds from California’s voter-approved Proposition 10 tobacco tax revenues. First 5 LA works by changing systems and policies and by creating an integrated and coordinated system of services and supports to strengthen families. By prioritizing children in their early years, ages 0-5, First 5 LA is driven by its mission to ensure that they have the best start possible in life.
